An EC Powell bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 or a #7. This is a late model and post-EC. Medium fast action. The rod weighs 4.8 ounces on my scale. Near mint condition. The cane is done in a two opposed node pattern with a light coat of varnish overwrapped with the guides. The stripper is a modern ceramic in a shock ring. The snakes and tip tops are chrome. The step ferrules are one piece males with brass water plugs and are polished, not oxidized. The ferrule fits are good and the rod is straight. The grip is 6 1/2" long and shaped to a half wells with a hidden pocket cap. The aluminum uplocking screwlock reel seat does not have the Powell stamp and has not mortise - the hardware is inletted. The rod packs into a dark olive bag and aluminum tube with brass fittings.
