An Orvis Shooting Star fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #9 line. Serial #47810. Medium action. Good original condition. Good tight ferrule fit and rod sections are straight. Dark tempered cane in a three up node pattern construction. Bright step ferrules. Two carbide strippers on the butt with chrome snake guides wrapped brown. Lettered "Orvis Impregnated" on the wrap flat and "Shooting Star" one flat right. The 6 1/2" 13 cork slim cigar grip is lightly soiled and in good condition. The all aluminum down lock screw lock has a short 2" detachable fighting butt stored in a pocket of the grey cloth bag. Comes in the original Orvis tube with data sticker.
