A nice Anderson and Sons of Edinburgh salmon winch, 4 1/4" diameter with 1 3/4" spool width. All brass throughout with "R Anderson and Sons / Princess St / Edin" stamped opposite the wooden handle on the winding plate. The foot is straight and has been lightly dressed on one end. The reel is in excellent shape overall with normal cosmetic wear for its age but no major defects. Fixed click drag, and mechanically the reel turns but is slightly greasebound. Taking it apart and giving the drag a good cleaning should do the trick. A nice early salmon winch.
