Robichaud Traditional Trout Reel 3" w/spare spool

A nice D.L. Robichaud trout reel, 3" in diameter with a 13/16" spool diameter. Set up for LHW. Weighs 4.6 oz. This reel shows signs of use but is mechanically sound. Some rim rash but no heavy dings or bent handles. The screw holding the handle on has some marring from the wrong size screwdriver blade having been used. Fixed drag with an ingenious spool removal method that makes swapping spools a snap. The handle side has a ventilated sideplate and spool for weight reduction (this reel is remarkably lightweight for its size). The side plates are black anodized while the frame, spool, foot, and crank handle are clear anodized. "D.L. Robichaud, Hudson, N.H., U.S.A." is engraved on the side plate in a small delicate script. This reel comes with a spare spool and a leather pouch with "Robichaud Reels" and the address embossed on the pouch. Robichaud reels had a fairly short production run so are pretty hard to come by but they are a great lightweight classic reel perfect for pairing with bamboo rods.
