For sale here is a very unique and rare 3 inch caged spool fly reel made for retailer Pape Newcastle by WH Dingley. Stamped 2. A little rim rash on this one but nothing approaching serious. Caliper spring is nice and strong. Original handle spins freely. Original brass reel foot. Minor line grooves on pillar. Pawl and gear teeth still sharp. No wobble and no end play - this is a super tight reel. Weighs only 4.85 oz which is also rare, given most of the 3 inch Dingley or Malloch made caged spool reels weigh anywhere from 5.5 oz to 6.25 oz.
