A very nice Dingley St. George-style reel, 3 3/8" diameter and set up for RHW. Red agate lineguard. Stamped "Dingley, Maker, Alnwick" on the backplate. Stamped "4" on the foot, and "4" and "I" on the inside of the frame. Excellent condition with normal cosmetic wear but no major defects of any sort. Full length brass foot and the red agate in the lineguard is free of cracks. Dual ebonite handles and this reel actually comes with a third section of ebonite as a possible replacement (the current handles on the reel look original to me, so the previous owner must have picked up the spare somewhere). Lever spool release. Simple single check inside and the drag is nice and smooth. The spool is nice and tight. A fine example of a St George style Dingley.
