For sale here is a beautiful E.W. Edwards 6' "De Luxe" bamboo baitcasting rod. 2 pc. The rod is in excellent original condition with the exception that a few of the reel seat locking mechanism teeth have broken off. One could still fish the rod. Both sections are full length but have sets respectively. The rod features lovely pumpkin colored cane with chestnut brown silks and gold tipping. The varnish is in exceptionally good condition considering it's age. Red agate guides and tip-top. the rod is inscripted, EW Edwards "De Luxe" - the white writing turned yellow from the varnish is clear and bold void of any defects. Sculpted bakelite winding check. The grips are soiled as expected but the cork is in excellent shape. A filler was used on the natural voids in the cork at some point. Reel seat shows some tarnishing and a few teeth are missing as stated above. Bakelite butt cap. the ferrules are size 16/64, the fit is very nice. The rod has a fast action befitting of a baitcaster for pitching heavily weighted lures. The rod weighs 5.20 oz. Included are the original bag and tube. The bag is free of any tears or rips. The tube features the Mt. Carmel label 95% intact. This is a very nice addition to any collection of the Edwards' fan.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
