An Edwards Quadrate #50 bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels like a #6 line. 4.7 ounces. Lawn cast condition with a clean grip and a hint of brassing to the inner guides. However there is some bag imprint on the butt only down near the grip, and there are some signs of corrosion in the oxidation of the ferrules. Medium action. The ferrule fits are good and all sections are straight. The cane is caramel colored and the nodes are randomly spaced. The main wraps are maroon with black edges. The snake guides look like black stainless. The grip is 6" long with a slight flare at the heel and the largest diameter in the front where it is squared to the large front cork check. The reel seat may be bakelite or another plastic and the seat is an uplock with a hidden pocket cap. The nut turns freely. The rod packs in a dark maroon bag (nylon?) with an "Edwards Quadrate" logo. Original aluminum tube with a brass collar and aluminum top.
