For sale here is a Gary Howells bamboo rod - 8 1/2 feet for a 7 weight in the standard 2/2 format, labeled 4 5/8 oz. Serial #4020. Craig Lynch informed me: "I believe that #4020 was the model that he took several of his Field and Stream trout with out of Henry's lake. I can't be positive, but it looks like Gary only built nineteen #7 rods."

The rod remains in excellent++ condition. Carbide stripping guide, wrapped in brown thread with gold trim. Reverse half wells grip, uplocking aluminum reel seat with gorgeous zebrawood spacer. Includes original red bag and labeled aluminum tube.
