For sale here is a George Halstead bamboo rod - 8 feet, three sections with two tips for a five-weight line (possibly a WF6 would work nicely as well). Nicely restored by Walt Carpenter in 1980 and not fished since. The reel seat hardware doesn't have his die stamp and there's nothing scripted on the rod, but it's definitely a Halstead. Very powerful rod with a medium-fast action. I'd recommend a DT5 line. The rod exhibits Halstead's standard 2x2 node spacing. Aluminum slide band over a walnut spacer. The rod weighs 4.15 oz and the ferrule sizes are 10/64 and 16/64.
