For sale here is a Hardy "Mutti" Palakona bamboo rod - staggered ferrule construction. Seven feet nine inches, two sections with one tip. The rod is completely original and in excellent condition. Both sections are full-length and straight. This rod was developed for the Italian market, a limited run of 50 rods were made for the Ravizza Fly Shop, the most prestigious shop in Milan in the 1970s. Mr. Mutti was the shop manager. Striking red silks with black tips. Full wells grip with an uplocking aluminum reel seat over a bakelite spacer and end button. Serial number L/D which dates the rod to November 1976. The rod weighs 4 1/4 oz. Medium to medium fast action rod, unlike many of the faster tapers Hardy's made. A very pleasant caster.
