For sale here is a H.L. Leonard, pre-fire Model 51 Tournament bamboo rod. 9', 3/2. Weighs 5 3/4 oz. Grip length is 5 1/4". Likely made in the early 1940s. Rod is in excellent refinished condition. There are a few small chips in the varnish. All original hardware. Patent date on butt section female ferrule. Rich red wraps with full intermediates in black. Agate stripper and tip-tops. Aluminum up-locking reel seat with butternut spacer. Good ferrule fit. Replacement bag and replacement tube.
