An HL Leonard Model 66H bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 or #6 line. The rod weighs 4.2 ounces on my scale. The action is on the faster side of medium. The rod has been excellently refinished with near perfect varnish. The ferrule fits are tight and the rod is nice and straight. Red main raps and black snake guides. Blonde oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. Polished step ferrules. The grip is 5 1/2" long and turned to a medium cigar and has been cleaned. The seat features a butternut insert and aluminum downlocking square thread hardware. The nickel silver pocket cap is stamped "The Leonard Rod, HL Leonard Rod Co, Makers" in a cartouche. The rod comes in the original gray color poplin bag with hang tag and the original tube with brass hardware.
