Leonard 39-5 Hunt model ser# 80116 2pc, 2t. Mint + condition. The slim cigar grip is clean and unsoiled. No brassing to the inside of the guides on one tip. The second tip has just the beginnings of some brassing. I would suggest this rod had one tip lawn cast only. The pewter oxidation at the ferrules has no sign of any wear. Excellent varnish, no flaws. Agate stripper. Marked 39-5 on the wrap flat. Wrapped in the plum colored silks which turn to garnet red when treated with varnish. Tiger maple reel seat. The oxidation to the butt cap seems to have faded some, but not from any wear. ( I can restore that if you wish). The stamp in cartouche reads "H.L. Leonard Rod Co., the Rod Maker, since 1869" Straight rod sections, tight ferrules, nice D.F. action. Not many like this around anymore.
