A very nice Homer Jennings fly rod 7'9", 3-piece, 2 tips, built for a #5 or #6 line. 4.5 ounces. Powerful DF action though not super "tippy". I would classify this rod as lightly used. Some brassing to the inner guides, and a bit of a cosmetic casting crack at the butt female wrap, and a tiny bit of edge brassing to the butt cap. The grip has only a faint trace of hand soiling. Wheat straw cane color done up in a three up node pattern. The nodes very small and appear to have been carefully pressed. The main wraps are honey colored with small red edges and a tin band of brown at the keeper, male ferrule, and tip tops. Agate stripper and snake brand guides. The varnish is superb and ranks among the best that you will see. The grip is 6 1/4" long and done in a blunt cigar profile weighted to the front. Small 1/4" corks. The slide band seat is a nicely varnished maple spacer and the cap and ring are oxidized as are the Swiss-style ferrules. Packed in a heavy tan cloth bag and a brown painted aluminum tube with a brass top.
