For sale here is an H.L. (Homer) Jennings 7' 2/2 4wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 743. The rod is in near mint+ condition having just been lawn cast. All sections are full length and arrow straight.
The rod features straw-colored cane with transparent light honey wraps and chestnut tipping. Agate stripping guide. The handsome script remains clean and bold. The tips are numbered for convenience. Nickel silver checks. The cigar grip measures 5 1/2" in length with only the lightest of handling marks. Nickel silver "acorn" cap and ring reel seat over a mortised birds eye maple spacer. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 11/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.30 oz. Medium side of medium fast action. A terrific dry-fly rod for smaller flies. Includes the original bag and brown powder-coated tube with brass fittings.
