For sale here is an impregnated JS Sharpe - Scottie The "Aberdeen" 9' 6wt 3/1 bamboo rod. Serial no. 3-10-213. The rod is in excellent original condition with one exception, the guides on the butt section have been re-wrapped with a slightly off-color thread. All sections are full length and straight. The tip section was made 1" shorter than the butt and mid. Plum colored wraps. Bright guides. All script and decals remain clean and bold void of any defect. U-shaped hook keeper. Aluminum winding check. Full wells grip 6 7/8" in length with moderate soiling and without any ridging, chipping, etc... Aluminum down-locking reel seat with a detachable fighting butt. The fighting butt is 5" in length and made of cork with minimal soiling. When not using the butt a hard rubber button screws into the butt cap. The blued ferrules are size 12/64 and 19/64, the fit is perfect. Stamped into each ferrule is "15". There are also red witness marks for easy alignment. The rod weighs 7.10 oz. without the fighting butt and 8.05 oz. with. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast with a stout butt. A terrific rod for swinging flies. The rod includes the original bag with label and a sleeve for the fighting butt. Replacement cordura tube will accompany the rod for protection. Sharpe's "Aberdeen" models were their highest grade of rods.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
