For sale here is a John Pickard Model 724 bamboo rod - 7'2" 2/2 for a four weight line. This is Pickard's rendition of the fantastic Paul H. Young Driggs rod. The rod is in excellent plus original condition exhibiting only light wear. All sections are full length and straight.
The rod features beautifully flame-tempered cane with chestnut wraps and fine black tipping. Oxidized hardware. Garrison-style hook keeper. Petite full wells grip measures 5" with slight soiling. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a cork spacer. Very light wear on the rim of the butt cap. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 13/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs a lean 2.95 oz. The action is a wonderfully smooth and crisp medium-fast dry-fly. Original bag and labeled tube.
