A nice little Julius vom Hofe #3 trout reel. This is vom Hofe's 2 1/2" x 1" high end small fly reel that is made of nickel silver and hard rubber. The spool is spun aluminum. It has the on/off click on the rear plate and the spider washer that holds the grease cap in place. This reel is clearly marked on the back plate. Nothing is damaged, short or replaced on this circa 1910 reel. In this excellent-plus condition, these vom Hofe reels are very hard to find.
