For sale here is a Julius Vom Hofe made size 4 hard rubber reel made for retailer Dame Stoddard. 2 1/8" diameter, 1" wide spool. Hard rubber side plates, crank style handle and nickel plated brass hardware. Stamped with "Julius Vom Hofe - Maker N.Y." as well as a stamp from retailer "Dame, Stoddard & Co. Boston" on the head plate. Condition is excellent, with blemish free and unpolished hard rubber, strong constant click and full length, unaltered german silver foot. The pawl, gears, and spring are super strong in this reel....very high quality!
