For sale here is an original Lyle Dickerson Model 801510 bamboo rod. 8', 3/2 for a 5 weight line. Built circa 1948. Excellent original condition. All sections are full-length, straight, and all the same length. The rod weighs 4 3/8 oz. Payne-style grip with down-locking hardware and walnut insert. Orange silks with black edging. Oxidized nickel silver ferrules and guides. Oxidized nickel silver hexagonal winding check. Classic 3x3 Dickerson node pattern. The ferrule fit is excellent. The grip shows minor soiling. Varnish is a bit soft with one tip section showing some bag marks, but in general I would not classify the varnish as "too soft". A few chips in the varnish exist, but no underlying issues with the cane exist in these areas. The rod comes with its original bag and tube.
