A nice Lyle Dickerson model 8013 fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #5. 4.1 ounces. Fast action. Very good condition with some wear to the inner snake guides and some modest soiling to the grip. The varnish is in excellent condition, the ferrule fits are very good, and the rod is very straight. Three up node pattern. The rod has the original owner's name and the date of 1964 lettered on it. The main wraps are tan with dark brown edges. Carbide stripping guide and stainless snake guides. The step ferrules are oxidized. The grip is 6" long and done in a western style. The reel seat is an aluminum downlocking screwlock with a nickel silver pocket cap. The wood spacer is varnished walnut. The pocket cap and female ferrules are pinned but the pins for the screwlock barrel and male ferrules have been left out. This was the most popular of the Dickerson models. The rod is put up in a brown cloth bag and an aluminum tube with a brass top and collar.
