A lovely, mint, early 1980's rod of mine with "Aroner 7' #5 Hunt Pattern" lettered on shaft. As with all of my early works there is no die stamp on the cap and ring seat. Flawlessly varnished walnut slide band seat with a deep, rich color. Truncated swiss ferrules with collar and knurl. Rare ferrule plug design that I did many years ago. The grip is made entirely of premium "face" cork in a medium blunt cigar, 10 corks or 5" long. The wraps are "May rose" color with orange edges. Original early bag and tube. The taper for this rod is phenomenal for casters of fast actions (if you are tired of imprecise presentations or slow, unwieldy tapers, here is your answer). Pin-point accuracy and tight loops are the norm with this design, as well as the ability to turn over larger flies. An excellent little rod to see again after many years!
