A Marc Aroner Hunt Pattern fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #5 line. Lightly used with a small amount of hand soiling. The grip is currently covered with heat shrink plastic (not applied by me). Crisp, DF action. The rod would date to the mid-to-late 1980's, as there is no roller die stamp and I did these seats in a Catskill-style with a wood lip to the cork grip rather than a rear cork check. This is a rare two-piece model, which are pretty hard to come across these days. The nodes are three up pattern with flamed cane. The wraps are a garnet red with orange edges, and a single edge of very dark red at the keeper only. "Aroner 7 1/2 DT5 Hunt Pattern" is lettered into the wrap flat. The stripping guide is carbide and the snakes are high arch high speed steel. The ferrules are polished bright and are a truncated swiss-style with a collar that has an incised slant knurl. The grip is a 5 1/2" slim cigar. The cap and ring seat is polished nickel silver. The seat is a mortised highly figured walnut.
