A Marc Aroner Hunt Pattern bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5. The rod weighs 4.9 ounces. Lightly used condition, one tip may have been used once, the other slightly more. Medium action. The grip shows almost no hand soiling. This is a rare rod of mine as the reel seat is all nickel silver with the slide band and pocket cap reminiscent of antique Leonard and Payne rods. Flamed cane done in a three up node pattern. Wrapped olive with red tipping and Leonard Catskill style signature wraps. The stripping guide is agate and the snakes are black high arch HSS. Superb varnish. Mirrored tips. The ferrules are swiss style with a collar on the males with an incised slant knurl and two trim marks. The ferrules retain 100% of their original oxidation. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a medium/slim cigar profile. The all nickel silver seat has been turned down to a very thin wall to save weight and mounted over a maple blank. The seat is stamped "Aroner, Maker". The brass ferrule plugs have been tied to the top of the green poplin bag. The rod tube is polished aluminum with brass fittings. The brass collar is also stamped "Aroner, Maker". An overbag protects the tube.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
