A Mario Wojnicki 245GF model bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels to me like a #4 or #5 line. Serial #6715. Medium to slow action. Pentagonal construction with darkly flamed shafts and light nodes. Fiberglass ferrules. Nice thin coat of varnish, and while there is a small hook chip in the varnish between the grip and the stripping guide, it does not appear to have penetrated into the bamboo. The main wraps are a light amber color with black at the ferrules. The stripping guide is carbide and the snakes are chrome. The grip is 6 1/8" long and turned to Mario's half wells profile with a composite rear cork check. The reel seat is composed of dual slide rings over a walnut spacer. A cork button holds the slide rings on and ends with a composite button. The rod packs into an eggshell colored cloth bag and an aluminum tube with brass fixtures and the model engraved in the cap.
