For sale here is a scarce 3rd model Meek 44 german silver, single action fly reel. Introduced in 1899, the Meek 44 is one of the most collectible fly reels desired worldwide. This third model, at 2 1/4" diameter, features the raised back plate. The reel is in excellent condition throughout. All screws are in fine shape and one is a replacement made by Bill Archuleta. Bill also made a replacement oil cap and a replacement pawl. The reel operates as it should now. Bill's work is beyond amazing as most of you know. The reel foot is full length and unaltered, complete with serial number 3399. The handle grasp is in fine shape and spins freely on its post.
