For sale here is an impregnated Orvis "Flea" 6'6" 2/1 for a 3 or 4 weight line. Two sections with one tip section, originally a two-tip rod. Serial #50351 built in 1968 by Bill Young and Dale Brown. The rod is in excellent original condition having been cared for well. All sections are full length and straight.
The varnish over the wraps and script is in wonderful condition. Moderately dark browntone cane with chestnut brown wraps. Bright guides. The script remains clean and bold. The grip is the classic, petite, 4" cigar grip with a slender nose often seen on shorter Orvis rods. Dual, knurled aluminum sliding band reel seat over a slightly mortised cork spacer. Aluminum button butt cap. Blued ferrules size 10/64 with a perfect fit. The medium action is well suited to most small stream situations with a good deal of versatility. Champion-style tube and gray Orvis rod bag.
Don't miss out on this fantastic light line rod from one of the oldest names in fly-fishing.
