For sale here is an Orvis Light Salmon 8'6" bamboo rod with detachable extension/fighting butt for a 6wt or 7wt line. Serial #28739. Made in 1960. Two sections with two tips. Very good condition though some repairs are needed. There is an invisible repair wrap on one of the tips as well as a few scratches throughout. The other tip is missing the guide closest to the ferrule, the tip-top has also been bent out of shape. The bottom foot of the first stripping guide has been re-wrapped crudely but functionally in black thread. Chestnut brown wraps over impregnated cane. Cigar grip and aluminum down-locking reel seat in excellent condition. Weighs 6 oz. The label on the tube suggests an 7wt though a size down is usually best. Ferrule size is 14/64 and the fit is nice and tight. All wraps besides those mentioned are in fine condition. Comes with the original green bag (with sleeve for extension butt) as well as the original labeled tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
