For sale here is an impregnated Orvis "Wes Jordan" 7'6" 2/2 6wt (H.D.G.) bamboo rod. Serial no. 66715. Made in 1975 by Rod White. The rod remains in excellent++ original condition with only the slightest evidence of being handled. All sections are full length and straight.
The rod features a moderately tempered impregnated blank with transparent molasses colored wraps. The varnish over the wraps and script remains in pristine condition. The script is as clean and bold as the day it was written and features the original owner's name along with the usual information. U-shaped hookkeeper. Cigar grip measuring 6 1/2" with only light soiling. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The butt cap is stamped with the original owner's initials. The blued nickel silver step-down ferrules fit together nice and tight as they should. The action is a versatile medium-fast. Smooth, crisp, and with excellent recovery. The rod is just as well suited for dries as it is wet flies. Although the rod is marked as a 6wt a line size down is best; as is the case with most Orvis bamboo rods. The rod weighs 3.80 oz. Includes the original green bag and classic leather tube featured with most Wes Jordan rods.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
