For sale here is a Payne Model 204 bamboo rod -- 8'6 3/2 5wt weighing 4.95 oz. The rod is in near mint restored condition. The restoration was performed by one of the best restorers of Payne rods, Don Schroeder. All sections are full length and straight. All of the hardware is blued and in superb cosmetic condition. Uplocking aluminum Payne reel seat hardware over an un-marred spanish cedar insert. The reel seat includes the stamp "Made for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Chestnut brown thread wraps with black trim with maroon edges at the hook keeper and male ferrules. The ferrules are 10/64 and 16/64. Includes original bag with hang tag and labeled tube, which is a bit banged up. The action of the rod is medium, full-flexing and silky smooth!
