For sale here is a Payne Model 96 "Special" in unused condition. The original paper wrapping remains on the grip. The rod weighs 2 1/4 oz. Six and one half feet long with two sections and two tips. Oxidized cap and ring reel seat over spanish cedar. Red agate stripping guide. Payne brown silks tipped gold with additional purple tipping at cork check and male ferrules. All sections are full length and straight, and the ferrule fit is perfect. Complete with original bag, tube, and hang tag, which is labeled "Special". Rarely will you find an original Payne with paper on the grip. Don't let this one get away!
