For sale here is a Payne Model 98 in mint restored condition. The rod was restored by Ron McKinley of Macklin Custom Rods in 1995 and hasn't been fished since. The rod weighs 3 oz. 7' 2/2 for a DT4. Cap and ring reel seat over spanish cedar. All sections are full length and straight, and the size 12/64 ferrule fit is perfect. Complete with replacement bag and original tube. Also comes with Ron McKinley's restoration certificate. Amazing fast dry fly action -- what a classic Payne rod!
