For sale here is a stellar bamboo rod made by Bob Taylor, a 7'6" 3/2 Flametone model for a 5 weight line. Serial no. 35-5-331. The rod is in excellent+ condition. All sections are full length and straight.
Another example of why Bob Taylor is still one of the best bamboo rod makers in the world. The rod has a slightly and elegantly swelled butt section. Moderately flame tempered cane with bronze wraps and Chinese red tipping. Agate stripping guide. Ring hook keeper. Nickel silver checks. The cigar grip measures 5 7/8" with mild soiling. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised walnut spacer. Light wear to the rim of the butt cap. There is a small crack in the varnish over the guide wraps nearest to the mid-section female ferrule (easily sealed with a dab of varnish). The ferrule fit is excellent. The rod weighs 3.95 oz. The action is a versatile medium-fast with a good bit of backbone thanks in part to the swelled butt. The thin tips allow for finesse and tippet protection. Original bag and labeled tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
