For sale here is a stunning Presentation rod made by R.D. (Bob) Taylor - 7'6" 2/2 for a 5 weight line. Another example of why Bob is still one of the best bamboo rod makers in the world with a rich heritage in the Catskill rodmaking circles. The rod has a slightly and elegantly swelled butt section. Medium dark oven tempered cane. Cigar grip. Oxidized nickel silver cap and ring over a very nice butternut insert. Oxidized guides and nickel silver ferrules. Dark brown silks with black tipping and full intermediate wraps. The rod is in excellent overall condition. All sections are full length and straight and no repairs exist. The varnish is excellent plus. Slight loss of bluing on the butt cap and slight soiling on the grip. Medium fast action. The rod weighs 3 3/4 oz. The ferrules are 13/64 with an excellent fit. Original bag and tube.
