A very nice RK Bolt bamboo fly rod, 6'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #4 line. Serial #7005 and was made in 2003 from Gary Howells blanks. 2.8 ounces. Delicate medium full flexing action. New condition, never used. I believe this rod was made as a one-of-a-kind. Feels to me like an ideal midge rod. The cane is a dark wheatstraw oven temper done in a two-opposed node pattern. The wraps are brown edged yellow and the stripper is a Midrum carbide with the rest of the guides in chrome. 5" cork grip is sculpted to a western style. The reel seat spacer is a flawlessly varnished zebra wood with an aluminum uplocking screwlock with "RK Bolt, Rodmaker" stamped into it. Red cloth bag and the aluminum tube has the attractive Bolt data sticker affixed.
