A superb RL Winston San Fransico Era fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and with stated weight of 3 5/8 ounces. Mint condition. Serial # 8931 and the patent date lettered on the rod, along with "built for" and the owner's name and the rod specifications. Mint condition, no brassing to the inner tip-tops, no hand soiling to the grip. Blonde cane in 3-up node construction wrapped in tan with maroon edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip-top. The varnish is original and with no signs of wear, though it is not the best workmanship I have seen from this company. The ferrule fits are good and right with the full overwrap. The grip is 5 1/2" and done in a full well style. The downlocking screw lock seat looks like bakelite with a polished aluminum ring and a formed pocket cap on the bottom (the spacer had a small piece of tape with the owner's name which is pictured here, though we have subsequently removed it). The rod is as straight as the day it left the shop. The rod bag is red cloth with the Winston logo and a leather pull tab. Cal Air tube with 100% of the original Winston sticker still intact.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
