An RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #4 line. Serial #2504, a Bracket-era Montana rod. The rod weighs 4.2 ounces on my scale. Mint condition. Medium wheatstraw oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. Tan wraps with maroon accents at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. SRMC carbide stripper and chrome snakes and tip tops. The grip is 6 1/2" long and shaped to a full wells profile in pristine condition. The seat is a nickel silver downlock with a pocket cap over a mortised quartersawn spacer of zebra wood. The bottom cap is engraved with the Winston logo. The rod packs into a red cloth bag and a black hardcoat aluminum tube with brass fittings and the Winston data sticker affixed to it.
