For sale here is a R.L. Winston 8' 5 weight bamboo fly rod made in Twin Bridges, MT. by Glenn Brackett. Serial no. 2554 made in 1992. Labeled weight of 3 3/4 oz. The rod is in excellent+ original condition. All sections are full length and straight.

The rod features mildly tempered cane with transparent honey wraps and burgundy tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Bright guides. Ring hookkeeper. Nickel silver checks. The cigar grip measures 5 7/8" in length with light soiling. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over an absolutely stunning zebra wood spacer. "R.L. Winston Rod Co." is engraved on the bottom of the butt cap. The ferrule fit is perfect. The rod's actual weight is 4 1/4 oz. The action is a versatile medium-fast with terrific recovery - arguably a perfect all-around trout rod.

Included is a fine leather rod tube with rod bag.
