For sale here is a San Francisco era R.L. Winston bamboo rod - 8'6", 2/2 marked 4 5/8 oz. Serial no. 8506. Excellent+ condition, all sections are straight and full length. Down-locking aluminum reel seat with a slot for an extension butt, which is not included with the rod. All three guides on the butt section are stripping guides as well as the first guide on each tip. Ferrule fit is excellent. The cork grip is in fine condition. The golden silks with maroon tipping blends nicely with the blonde cane. Medium fast action and feels best with a 6 line. Ferrule size 16/64. Rod weighs 5 3/8 oz. Original bag and tube with protective brown felt tube bag. Someone will be very happy with this rod!
