For sale here is a bamboo rod made by Rolf Baginski of Germany - his "Westwind" model - 6 1/2 feet, 3/2 made for a four weight line. This rod features ornately engraved ferrules and reel seat hardware! Darkly flamed cane, serial #1498. Tapered cigar grip. Reel seat is German silver/Argentine slide band over a stunning amboyna wood spacer. The guide wraps are clear with fine red edging at the ferrules and stripping guide. Bright fittings throughout. The rod is in mint condition and complete with original bag. No tube. The ferrules are 11/64 and 14/64 and the ferrule fit is excellent. The rod weighs 3 3/8 oz and the action is medium fast with a slightly parabolic feel. The cane work and varnish as with all of Rolf's rods is top-notch!
