Sage LL 389-4 Graphite Fly Rod

For sale here is an early Sage Graphite III 389-4 LL fly rod -- 8'9" 3wt 4 pc. Made in 1990. The 4 piece LL rods are extremely challenging to find on the resale market. The rod is in excellent condition showing light wear. Deep burgundy sanded blank with matching wraps. Gray tipping at the ferrules. U-shaped hook keeper. Western-style grip is lightly soiled and displays some minor ridging. There is also some chipping at the bottom from using the grip as a hook keeper. Nickel silver uplocking reel seat over a rosewood spacer. Ferrules fit together securely with no cracks or damage. The rod has a crisp fast action capable of very delicate casts. The LL series is considered one of the best from Sage and as such has garnered a loyal following since its introduction. Includes original bag and tube as well as the warranty card.
