A HL Leonard Tournament bamboo fly rod, 9', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. This rod has seen no use since a refinish and re-grip. Fast DF action. The ferrule fits are very good and the rod is straight. The original owner's name is inscribed on the rod. Wheatstraw color oven-tempered cane with re wraps. Agate stripper and black snake guides and tip tops. Patent date on the female ferrule and all are polished bright. The freshly re-done grip is 6" long and shaped to a full wells profile. The slide band reel seat is a seamless all nickel silver type with a pocket cap. The stamp reads "The HL Leonard Rod / Leonard and Co / Makers" in a cartouche and above "Tournament". The canvas bag and tip tube (with a replaced top) pack into a larger aluminum tube.
