A stunning boxed reel set of three wide drum trout reels handmade by Joe Saracione. These reels preceded the introduction of the Deluxe II models, and those included here are a 3", a 2 3/4", and a 2 1/2". Each is marked serial #53. The spool width is approximately 7/8". All reels are in mint condition and set up for RHW. As with Joe's Deluxe offerings, these are bench-made reels that have nickel silver rims, highly polished delrin sideplates, and an aluminum spool and foot. The reels come in one of the handsomest boxes I've seen in a long time, a very fine felt-lined walnut creation, and the set also comes with separate Arne Mason leather reel cases that are matched to each reel. If you want a showcase piece for your Saracione collection, or your collection of benchmade S-style reels, it would be hard to beat this. These reels are just superb.
