An excellent Saracione SCA (Saracione Classic American) reel with two spare spools made for Thomas and Thomas, 3 1/4" diameter and set up for RHW. Mint, unused condition. The reel weighs 7.6 ounces on my scale and the spool width is approximately .85". Joe made these in the mid-to-late 1980's and this one features a "Thomas and Thomas" nameplate on the backplate. Champagne anodized frame with a black-anodized spool and sideplates. The two spare spools are black anodized as well. The drag is adjusted via a knob on the backplate, and these reels also have an ingenious removable spool system whereby the backplate (and spool) are removable by pushing a sliding knob on the backplate and rotating the plate approximately 90 degrees. The reel packs into a suede, fleece-lined zipper pouch with the T&T logo embossed on the top, and the two spare spools pack into their original cardboard boxes. A very nice offering here that brings together two of the most respected names in the craft.
