For sale here is a truly stunning Scott Rod Co. bamboo rod built in collaboration with Naoki Hashimoto of Japan. A hollow-built SC model -- 7'2" 3wt 3/2. Serial no. 0031. The rod is in mint condition. The cane is moderately tempered to a dark amber color with 2x2x2 node spacing. The guide wraps are clear transparent with dark oxblood tipping while the female ferrules are wrapped only in the oxblood. The winding check and male ferrule wraps are oxblood, gold, bronze, and magenta. Spiral patterned oxblood and gold signature wrap. The wraps on tip-top one are oxblood, gold, and magenta while tip-top two lacks the magenta to be able to distinguish the tips. Oxidized ferrules and guides. Salmon colored agate stripping guide. Blued, knurled, nickel silver winding check. Modified full wells grip with a ring of burled cork - a feature characteristic of Scott rods. Up-locking, nickel silver sliding band reel seat with a beautifully figured, mortised amboyna burl wood spacer. "Scott" is laser engraved on the bottom of the butt cap. The ferrules for each SC rod are specifically built for that rod. These ferrules are size 10/64 and 14/64, the fit is perfect. Handmade aluminum ferrules plugs. The rod weighs a lean 3 1/4 oz. The action is medium-fast. The butt gives the rod enough power should you hook into a larger fish or if the wind starts howling. Includes original bag with Scott label and stiffening dowel as well as two pockets for the ferrule plugs when not in use. The tube features brass fittings and Scott logo.
