Ted Godfrey Classic Model 305 Fly Reel 3"

A nice Ted Godfrey Classic model 305 fly reel, 3" in diameter and set up for LHW. The spool width is approximately 13/16" with a catalog weight of 5.9 ounces. Designed to hold a WF5 line and 50 yds of backing. Excellent used condition with some tarnishing on the rims and the faceplate screw heads and some mounting marks on the foot (which also has some masking tape underneath where a prior owner indicated the line he had loaded on it - this should be easily removable) but this reel is very clean throughout. A quick polish should do the trick and it is devoid of any nicks, dings, or any other typical signs of use. Smooth click and pawl drag with a simple Vom Hofe style adjuster on the faceplate. Straight aluminum handle with an ebonite knob and nickel silver counterbalance. The reel comes in a handsome block leather reel case. A nice option here for someone who wants a benchmade classic reel for their trout fishing.
