A Ted Simroe bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 or #7. Serial #682. Medium action. The rod weighs 5.2 ounces on my scale. Fair used condition and the rod has been reconditioned, with the ferrules appearing to have been re-wrapped and the grip sanded. The rod could use a varnish touch up adjacent to the ferrules and a bit of a straighten. Wheatstraw color cane done in a three up node pattern (there are some tiny spot seams adjacent to the nodes on the butt). The rod is varnished with light gold main wraps with green edges. Chrome snakes and tip tops. Polished swiss ferrules. The 6" grip is shaped to a blunt western profile with a hidden pocket cap. The seat is a polished uplocking screwlock with a wood spacer. The rod packs into a light olive bag and a brown crackle paint tube with brass fittings.
