For sale here is an impregnated Thomas & Thomas Montana 8' 2/2 6wt from the Individualist Series, T&T's highest grade of rods. Serial no. 3317. This one is in excellent condition having been fished but cared for. All sections are full length and straight.
Translucent honey wraps tipped with cinnamon. Chestnut wraps with cinnamon and black tipping at the ferrules. Blued guides and ferrules. The script remains in excellent condition as does the varnish. Handsome swelled butt a common characteristic on many T&T rods. Ring hook keeper. Stout reversed half wells grip with moderate soiling. Aluminum up-locking reel seat over a varnished walnut spacer. The T&T logo is stamped into the locking ring. The step-down Swiss-style ferrules have a great fit, nice and snug. The rod weighs in at 4.85 oz. The action is an authoritative medium fast with plenty of power from the butt thanks in part to the large swell. True to its namesake this is a terrific rod for western waters handling wind, large flies, and large fish with ease. Includes replacement bag with stiffener and original brass capped tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
