For sale here is an impregnated Thomas and Thomas Montana 8'6 2/2 6wt from the Individualist Series, T&T's highest grade of rods. This one is in near mint condition. Translucent caramel wraps tipped in a reddish brown. Beautiful cigar shaped cork with elegantly swelled butt. Black-oxidized nickel silver ferrules, snake guides and tip tops.The T&T wraps, in this certain period of production, had an issue with "frosting" underneath the wraps. This happened mostly when the rod remained in the tube since it was made. Some of the butt section guide wraps exhibit this phenomenon but the tip guide wraps look fine. This is a purely cosmetic issue; the rod is imminently fishable as is. The asking price reflects this. This rod weighs 6 1/4 oz. Size 16/64 ferrules with an excellent fit. On the fast side of medium action. Original bag and labeled tube.
